Latin America Fotolibro Archive

The Latin America Fotolibro Archive, a program of SoFLaFoto’s Photobook Art Lab, collects photobooks, catalogues, histories and periodicals of photography made in Latin America and the Caribbean. Each book is placed by the country its images depict. Photographers from that country appear beside photographers from elsewhere, whose nationality is shown under their name, so that the page records who has looked at each place.

Cuba and Mexico have archives of their own: the Cuba Fotolibro Archive and the Mexico Fotolibro Archive. Surveys of the whole region, which include both countries, appear here. Books about places outside Latin America are not part of the archive, even when the photographer is Latin American. A country is listed once the collection holds a book from it.
