South Florida Photobook Archive

The South Florida Photobook Archive, a program of SoFLaFoto’s Photobook Art Lab, gathers photobooks by photographers who call South Florida home, wherever they were born, alongside the books that record the region’s past. SoFLaFoto began in Miami in 2020 as a place to celebrate the lens-based artists living and working here, and this archive returns to that starting point.

The books are arranged in three parts: the historical record, photographs made here, and work these photographers have made elsewhere. A photographer from outside the region appears only when the book is about South Florida, with their place of residence shown under their name.
